About Me

Welcome to the Media Center!  My name is Kelly Ginn. I am so excited to be Atha Road Elementary School media specialist. Prior to that, I taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade and 4th grade.

I am originally from Monroe, GA, where I graduated from Monroe Area Comprehensive High School in 1998. Following high school, I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Brenau University.  I have an Instructional Technology Degree from Troy University.  I received my Media Specialist certificate from University of West Georgia.

In my “free” time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, playing games, and spending time with my family.

I enjoy teaching students how to read and want them to grow to love reading.  Therefore, I will help students find a “good fit” book. I believe that students learn when they are actively engaged and will find opportunities to support the classroom.
